Whiteboard is an online booking system exclusively used for the BOE Commerce Computer Lab. It was designed by Commerce IT and is fully supported by the department.

If you are a "newbie" (new Whiteboard user), don't fuss! These help pages have been created to assist you at every step of the way. You need not fear, Help is here.

On most of the various pages you will encounter using the Whiteboard system, you will find a small link entitled "help" at the bottom right of the page. These links form the basis of the Whiteboard help system which is dedicated to sorting out some of the confusions you might be experiencing using the system.

It is important to note that certain Whiteboard pages may take up to 10 seconds to load. This is normal activity so please be patient at these times!

The page that you have just come from is the main Whiteboard System entry page. 

At this point, you may either View Current Bookings (according to specific viewing requirements) by clicking the button on the left, or Request a Booking (allows Commerce staff members to send an electronic booking request to the Lab Administrator) by clicking the button on the right.

Please note that the Request a Booking procedure does not automatically refuse or verify your request, and for this reason it will not enter it in the database until the Lab Administrator processes it. The turnaround time is approximately one business day, after which you will receive a confirmation e-mail as to  whether your request has been successful or not, as well as confirmation of all booking details supplied to us.
